Buford’s annual Homecoming Day Parade was another huge success even as rain threatened to put a damper on the festivities. Thankfully, the rain held off and both the parade and game were able to take place without everyone getting soaked.

Kids and adults alike appeared to be enjoying themselves. Parents brought their babies to catch their very first parade while adults who have long since graduated from Buford but still like to come out to show their Buford spirit were lined up along Sawnee Avenue and Main Street.

With 88 vehicles/floats that participated in the parade to the large number of spectators, it took countless volunteers and paid workers to make the parade happen. The City of Buford and Buford City Schools work seamlessly together and another successful Homecoming Parade is in the books.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the parade, worked on the parade in some fashion and to all the people who came out to watch the parade. Events like these help keep Buford rooted in its traditions and able to keep that tight-knit community feel.
