Buford was well-represented on the list of finalists for the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Moxie Awards, which were announced on Thursday. Nine women, two businesses and one non-profit organization with ties to Buford made the list.

The Moxie Awards recognizes and celebrates women, businesses and organizations in Gwinnett that are making a difference.

On the Rise Award category finalists with ties to Buford:

The Buford Business Alliance is a non-profit, networking-organization that was created to “promote goodwill, business and tourism to benefit local businesses, The City of Buford and the community in the Buford area.”

This year’s Moxie Awards will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Gas South Convention Center in Lawrenceville from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will begin with keynote speaker, Cheryl Mills Knight, SVP of Brand and Culture for Kendra Scott and will end with the announcement of the winners of the 2023 Moxie Awards.
