The Starbucks Coffee Company recently submitted paperwork to the City of Buford’s Planning and Zoning Department that would allow them to open a new location within the Buford city limits if the Buford City Commission approves the request.
A special use permit was filed by Lemonade MM Buford, LLC to allow a drive-thru restaurant at 4394 Buford Drive. The property sits on the corner of Buford Drive/GA Highway 20 and Buford Highway across from Bank of America.
The special use permit application must first go before the City of Buford Planning and Zoning Board on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Buford City Hall, 2300 Buford Highway, Buford GA 30518. The Buford City Commission will consider the application on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Buford City Hall.
Lemonade MM Buford, LLC purchased the 0.81-acre lot from Premier Bank on August 5, 2022, for $1.44 million according to Gwinnett County property records. The building on the lot is currently vacant but has been the home to several different bank branches over the years.
