The Gwinnett County Police Department has charged a second suspect in the murder of a 35-year-old Buford man that occurred in the early morning hours of October 16.

Homicide detectives with Gwinnett County have charged Demetrick Davis, 46 of Versailles, Ky. with Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault in the death of Quentin Cantrell. Davis was taken into custody by the Lexington Police Department on November 26.

Detectives have also charged Rodericus Jackson, 33 of Buford with Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault in connection with Cantrell’s murder. Police are still looking for Jackson as his whereabouts are unknown.

According to Gwinnett County Police, Cantrell was shot shortly before 3 a.m. on October 16 on Allen Street in Buford. When officers arrived, they located Cantrell in a vehicle with a gunshot wound and he was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

No other details have been released in this case.
