Residents can give back to their community through Gwinnett’s Great Days of Service which runs from Friday, October 20 to Sunday, October 22.

Each year, through its initiative, Volunteer Gwinnett mobilizes thousands of volunteers to work on various projects throughout the county. According to Volunteer Gwinnett’s web page, these projects address “some of Gwinnett County’s most critical needs, such as food insecurity, homelessness, hunger, education, disabilities, veterans, seniors, and more.”

The county is looking for individuals, corporate groups, school groups, civic organizations and nonprofits to volunteer for one of the many projects taking place during the three-day event.

Volunteer opportunities available this year include Shoal Creek stream stabilization, Health and Human Services food packing, Streetwise of Georgia food packing, deep cleaning Annandale Village dining areas, assisting at Bogan Park’s Halloween Fest, Animal Welfare & Enforcement shelter beautification, mobile food distribution and more.
