Buford defensive lineman Eddrick Houston commits to further his academic and football career at Ohio State University on Tuesday evening. Houston is a five-star recruit in the Class of 2024 according to 247Sports.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound senior is ranked as the No. 28 player overall and the No. 4 defensive lineman in the Class of 2024. He holds offers from top schools like Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, USC and Auburn but ultimately chose Ohio State. Ohio State was the heavy favorite to win Houston’s verbal commitment.
In his junior year, Houston helped the Wolves to an 11-1 season and earned MaxPreps Junior All-American second-team honors. He had 64 tackles (11 for losses), 10 sacks and 15 QB pressures during the 2022 season.
