The Buford volleyball team hosted Lambert and Greater Atlanta Christian at home on Tuesday, August 22. The Wolves defeated Lambert 2-0 and GAC 2-1.
In the first match of the night, Buford beat Lambert 25-14, 25-18.
Leading the offense for the Wolves against Lambert was senior Payton Danley with 11 kills while the defense was led by senior Ella Jane Williams with 12 digs. Junior Alexa Flowers had a strong serving game with five aces.
Buford played Greater Atlanta Christian in the second match of the night. The Wolves beat GAC in three sets, 18-25, 25-18, 15-13.
Sophomore Clara Briley led the offense for Buford in the match against GAC with 13 kills while fellow sophomore Morgan Sanders contributed with eight kills. Junior setter Libby Williams had a strong effort against GAC with 29 assists.
Buford’s overall season record improves to 5-3.
The Wolves are on the road on Thursday, August 24 to play Blessed Trinity and St. Pius.
