Buford sisters, Kimberly and Sydney Harris punch their tickets to compete in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon on June 5-8, 2024. Both sisters run track for the University of Georgia.

Kimberly and Sydney and their teammates qualified for the NCAA DI Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 4×400-meter relay with a time of 3:26.06. That time was good enough for the season’s best time in that race and No. 11 collegiate all-time.

In addition to qualifying in the 4×400-meter relay, Kimberly will compete in the 4×100-meter relay and the 400-meter dash in Eugene.

Both Kimberly and Sydney are graduates of Buford High School, Classes of 2020 and 2023. While at BHS, they were a part of the track and field team’s success.

Kimberly holds nine individual GHSA state championship titles and contributed to three team state championship titles (2017-2019) while at Buford. Her senior season was canceled due to COVID-19.

Sydney holds three individual state championships and was part of the 2019 state championship team at Buford. Her sophomore season was canceled because of COVID-19.
