DESCRIPTION:The Little Miss Buford and Miss Sweetheart of Georgia Pageant was established in 1993. Based in Buford\, Georgia\, we are an affordable and natural pageant that strives to make every contestant feel unique. It serves as a fundraiser for the Buford High School Band of Wolves music program and is an event that the community can enjoy\, support\, and empower these young ladies as they develop life-long skills of poise and self-confidence. \nThe Little Miss Buford Pageant is open to all girls who are ages 0-18 and attend Buford City Schools or live full-time at a Buford City mailing address.   Miss Sweetheart of Georgia Pageant is open to all girls who are ages 0-18 living in Georgia. \nThe 32nd Annual Little Miss Buford and Miss Sweetheart of Georgia Pageant will be held on Saturday\, March 22\, 2025\, at the Buford High School Performing Arts Center. SUMMARY:Buford Little League Opening Day Parade - Greater Buford Athletic Association Baseball and Softball
DESCRIPTION:The Greater Buford Athletic Association’s youth baseball and softball spring league will have their opening day on Saturday\, Mar. 8. To kick off opening day\, all of the teams participating in the spring season will participate in the Opening Day parade. The parade kicks off at 8 a.m. at the Buford Church of God parking lot. It will turn left out of the parking lot onto South Lee Street and then turn right onto Main Street. The parade will make its way east along Main Street until it reaches Sawnee Avenue\, where it will turn right. The parade will end at the ballfields on Sawnee Avenue. \nCome out and show your support for the boys and girls participating in this year’s league! \nStreets along the parade route will be closed to ALL traffic at 7:45 a.m. until the parade is completely finished.

Proceeds from the pageant go towards providing those missing services. \nThe pageant will be held on Mar. 1-2\, 2024\, at the Buford High School Performing Arts Center\, 2455 Buford Hwy\, Buford\, GA 30518. \nThere are six divisions grouped by age: Junior Princess (ages 4-6)\, Princess (ages 7-9 )\, Preteen (ages 10-12)\, Jr. Teen (ages 13-15)\, Teen (ages 16-18)\, and Miss (ages 19+). \nThe pageant is an inclusive event where people with disabilities are encouraged to participate in the King and Queens Special Needs Parade. The parade will be held at 2 p.m. on Mar. 2. The parade begins at 9 a.m. at Tannery Row\, 554 West Main Street\, Buford and ends at South Hill Street and Main Street. The festival starts immediately after the parade finishes and is located at the Buford Amphitheatre on Main Street in Buford. \nSee lots of festive groups parading down Main Street along with law enforcement and first responders. Bring a bag to collect your stash of candy thrown out by the participants. Santa will make an appearance during the parade and later at the festival. \nThe festival is a great place to work on marking names off of your Christmas shopping list. On the Amphitheatre stage\, various performers will help spread festive cheer and stop by to get photos taken with Santa! \nThis year’s Grand Marshall is Buford’s own ESPN/SEC reporter\, Andraya Carter! Andraya was a star player on the BHS basketball team. She went on to play basketball for the University of Tennessee.\n\nAndraya has worked for ESPN/SEC Network since 2018 when she first started as a game analyst for men’s basketball.
