DESCRIPTION:The Gwinnett Police Department is participating in the National Faith & Blue Weekend which pairs local law enforcement with community-based faith organizations to promote stronger communities. \nBuford Church of God and the Gwinnett Police Department’s North Precinct are hosting a community BBQ on Friday\, October 6\, 2023\, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the church located at 4800 South Lee Street in Buford. \nFREE ADMISSION. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. \nABOUT FAITH & BLUE: \nFaith & Blue was launched to facilitate safer\, stronger\, more just and unified communities by directly enabling local partnerships among law enforcement professionals\, residents\, businesses and community groups through the connections of local faith-based organizations. \n\n\nThe initiative aims to re-calibrate police-community relations through solutions-focused\, in-person\, socially distanced and/or virtual activities that are organized jointly by faith-based or other community groups and law enforcement agencies.
