DESCRIPTION:The Gwinnett Chamber Foundation presents the 2023 Celebrity Softball Showdown on October 1\, 2023\, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Coolray Field. \nThis event will showcase celebrity players from various sporting and media organizations alongside sponsors and donors for a fun-filled and star-studded family afternoon of Softball at Coolray Field. Proceeds will benefit the Gwinnett Chamber Foundation (GCF).  GCF’s mission is to empower minority\, women\, and veteran-led small businesses with resources that support next-level growth and opportunity.  Let’s all STEP TO THE PLATE and help EMPOWER those in need.  The agenda for the day will go as follows: \n11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Entertainment\, food trucks and a car show \n1 p.m. – Gates open for the softball game \n2 – 4 p.m. – Pre-game festivities and softball game \n4 – 5 p.m. – Post-game concert by country music artist Ricky Lee \nOpening ceremonies of the Celebrity Softball Game will feature: \n\nThe Presentation of Colors led by Army Master Sergeant Cedric King;\nThe National Anthem sung by country music recording artist Ricky Lee;\nRemarks from renowned community philanthropists and event sponsors\, Clyde & Sandra Strickland; and\nThe first pitch of this year’s Showdown thrown by Gwinnett Commission Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson.
