Celebrity Softball Showdown

The Gwinnett Chamber Foundation presents the 2023 Celebrity Softball Showdown on October 1, 2023, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Coolray Field.

This event will showcase celebrity players from various sporting and media organizations alongside sponsors and donors for a fun-filled and star-studded family afternoon of Softball at Coolray Field. Proceeds will benefit the Gwinnett Chamber Foundation (GCF).  GCF’s mission is to empower minority, women, and veteran-led small businesses with resources that support next-level growth and opportunity.  Let’s all STEP TO THE PLATE and help EMPOWER those in need.  The agenda for the day will go as follows:

11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Entertainment, food trucks and a car show

1 p.m. – Gates open for the softball game

2 – 4 p.m. – Pre-game festivities and softball game

4 – 5 p.m. – Post-game concert by country music artist Ricky Lee

Opening ceremonies of the Celebrity Softball Game will feature:

• The Presentation of Colors led by Army Master Sergeant Cedric King;
• The National Anthem sung by country music recording artist Ricky Lee;
• Remarks from renowned community philanthropists and event sponsors, Clyde & Sandra Strickland; and
• The first pitch of this year’s Showdown thrown by Gwinnett Commission Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson.
