Aaron Riner, a senior at Buford High School, committed to further his academic and wrestling careers at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C. The announcement came via the Buford High School wrestling team’s social media accounts on Friday, Jan. 5.
Riner competes in the 215-pound weight class for the Wolves and has a record of 33-4. This season, he has placed second at the Kansas City Stampede, second at the Knockout Invitational in Orlando, Fla. and first at the GMVWA Holiday Invitational in Ohio. These are all national competitions with high-caliber talent competing at them.
“Aaron has had a great season that hopefully culminates with a State Championship,” said Tom Beuglas, Buford’s head wrestling coach and athletic director.
