The Buford High School football program has landed on top of HSFA’s (High School Football America) Preseason Top 100 Public High School Football Programs in America’s rankings list.
Buford lands at No. 7 on the HSFA Preseason Top High School 300 list. The six football programs in front of Buford on the list are all private schools like No. 1 Mater Dei (California), No. 2 St. John Bosco (California) and No. 3 St. Frances Academy (Maryland).
On August 18, Buford will host No. 3 St. Frances Academy at Tom Riden Stadium. The season-opener will be a good test for the Wolves as they hope to capture their 15th state championship, the first in Class AAAAAAA.
Buford ranks 10th in the 2023 Preseason MaxPreps Top 25 national rankings.
Dylan Raiola, the No. 1 QB; K.J. Bolden, the No. 1 safety; and Eddrick Houston, the No. 4 defensive lineman are Buford’s top ranked players in the Class of 2024. Those three players are just a small portion of the talent-rich team at Buford.
