Buford and Seckinger are both well-represented in the post-season Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-State Softball Teams for performances in the 2024 fast-pitch softball season.
In Class 6A, Buford juniors Addie Rackley and Caroline Stanton earned first-team honors. Senior Izzy Rettiger, junior Summer Castorri and sophomore Janie Goldin were included in the Class 6A second team.
Seckinger’s Milan Torres was named the Class 5A Player of the Year. The junior outfielder had an outstanding season where she had a .626 batting average with 17 home runs, 40 RBIs, 11 doubles, two triples, 60 runs and 22 stolen bases.
Junior Megan Whitt joined Torres on the Class 5A All-State first team, and junior Kaylee Cook and senior Kimberly Tobar were on Seckinger’s second team.
