Buford 64, Harrison 44
The Buford boys varsity basketball team remains undefeated after besting Harrison 64-44 on Tuesday night at the Buford Arena.
The Buford (4-0) offense was led by senior Asa Williams with 10 points. Chase Robinson, Kyle Carpenter, Jackson Houston and Torre Costin scored nine points each.
The Wolves will take to the road on Saturday, Dec. 2 to play Newton at 5:30 p.m. in a non-region game.
Lanier 69, Morgan County 25
Lanier hosted Morgan County on Tuesday night and the Longhorns came away with a 69-25 victory over the Bulldogs giving Lanier their first win of the season.
Leading Lanier (1-3) to victory was DeAndre Cowan, who had 15 points and three rebounds. Other standouts for Lanier included Tahai Morgan (14 points, 11 rebounds, four assists) and Amari Morgan (14 points, five rebounds).
The Longhorns travel to play West Forsyth on Saturday, Dec. 2nd at 11:30 a.m. in a non-region game.
Girls Basketball
Buford 63, Harrison 38
The Buford girls basketball team got a 63-38 victory over previously unbeaten Harrison on Tuesday evening at the Buford Arena.
Buford (3-1) was led by Ava Grace Watson with 19 points and Alyssa Green, who scored 15 points.
The Wolves will not play again until Saturday, Dec. 9 when they play Central (Macon, Ga.) at Grayson at 1 p.m.
Morgan County 34, Lanier 24
The Lanier girls varsity basketball team fell to Morgan County on Tuesday at home with Morgan County winning 34-24.
Lanier (2-3) will travel to play South Forsyth on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.
