The Princeton University wrestling program gained a commitment from Buford’s Conor McCloskey. The announcement came via the Buford wrestling team’s social media on Wednesday, October 18.
“Conor is very strong and aggressive,” said Tom Beuglas, head coach of Buford’s wrestling team. “His success on a national level as well as being an excellent student helped create this opportunity.”
The junior wrestled in the 175 lbs. weight class in the 2022-23 season. He is a two-time state runner-up. At the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) Nationals, McCloskey has placed second and fourth in previous seasons.
