The Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a man who they say stole a total of $2,900 in merchandise from an area home improvement store on two separate occasions.

The two thefts occurred at the Home Depot at 2120 Hamilton Creek Parkway in Dacula. The first theft took place on May 13. The suspect entered the store, loaded a shopping cart with merchandise valued at $1,300. He then proceeded to the cashier where he gave them fraudulent account information.

On May 27, the same suspect once again entered the Dacula Home Depot and placed items valued at $1,600 into his shopping cart. He then made his way to a cashier and once again, provided fraudulent account information.

In a written statement, the Gwinnett Police Department said, “Both times the male did not provide any money for the purchases and left the store without paying.”

The suspect is described as having a skinny build with short dreadlocks and a black mustache. In one of the surveillance images, he was seen wearing green camo print shirt, blue jeans and gray/blue sneakers.
