A Sugar Hill man was arrested after officers from Gwinnett County’s North Precinct encountered a stolen vehicle from Jackson County in Sugar Hill.
On Tuesday, April 30, officers located a truck that had been reported stolen out of Jackson County just a few hours before the officers in the vicinity of Pass Court in Sugar Hill spotted it.
A male was driving the stolen vehicle at the time the officers intercepted it. The male was identified as Timothy Kevin Burke, 46 of Sugar Hill.
Officers discovered Burke has two outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions. Burke was arrested and booked into the Gwinnett County jail on a theft by receiving stolen property charge in addition to the two outstanding warrants.
The vehicle owner was identified and the vehicle was returned to its owner.
