The Georgia Department of Transportation will be working on the intersection of Buford Highway and Hamilton Mill Road on Friday, February 16. The Gwinnett County Police Department will be assisting GDOT with directing traffic in the area.

Beginning at around 9 a.m. on Friday, the Motors Unit of the Gwinnett Police Department will be out directing traffic at the intersection according to social media posts from the department. The impact on traffic in the area is expected to last for several hours.

The northbound and southbound traffic on Buford Highway will be open to motorists. Drivers will not be able to make any left turns or go straight to/from Hamilton Mill Road and South Hill Street. Right turns onto South Hill Street and Hamilton Mill Road from Buford Highway will be permitted.
